The MAMA Academy charity has been helping to save babies lives since 2012 and this year is celebrating it’s 10th birthday. Their mission is to empower maternity professionals and inform expectant parents about stillbirth prevention methods to help more babies arrive safely. Sadly, the UK has one of the highest stillbirth rates in the developed world with the majority of deaths potentially preventable, and they have been working to try and bring that number down to zero.
To mark the occasion of the MAMA’s Academy 10th birthday, they have decided to celebrate the wonderful people and organisations who have contributed to the cause of helping to save babies lives over the past decade at the MAMA Academy Awards.
K2 are delighted to have been nominated for Business of the Year at the MAMA Academy Awards 2022. We also wanted to show our support for this fantastic cause by sponsoring the Healthcare Professional of the Year category.
Mark Hawtin, Managing Director for K2 said, ‘It was fantastic news to find out that we had been nominated for a MAMA Academy Award for Business of the Year, and it is always nice to be appreciated for the hard work that the K2 team puts in to providing cutting edge technology in maternity services in the UK and beyond. We want to say good luck to everyone who was nominated, and we are delighted to be sponsoring and offering a prize for the Healthcare Professional of the Year category. Well done to all those involved and we look forward to celebrating together at the awards next week.’
The MAMA Academy Awards will bring the maternity sector together to celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions made by individuals, maternity teams, and organisations supporting expectant parents and maternity professionals throughout the pandemic.
The MAMA Academy Awards will take place virtually on Tuesday 15 November 2022 at 7.30 pm. The winners will be selected by their prestigious judging panel and announced during the ceremony.
Good luck to all of the nominees! We look forward to the event and celebrating virtually together.
